
Born in Baltimore, Kier Johnson is a musician, producer, and promoter driven by sound, story, and community. Shaped by his studies in jazz in Louisiana and years of performing on stages across the United States, his creative perspective is rooted in tradition, exploration, and lived experience.
He is the creator and curator of the legendary Purple Honey Concert Series—a dope, genre-blending infusion of live music, comedy, and spoken word that has been amplifying authentic voices and unforgettable performances since 2010.
With a sharp ear and a thoughtful, visionary approach, Kier continues to lend his creative vision to artists and productions across Baltimore and the greater DMV, shaping spaces where creativity, culture, and collaboration intersect.
